Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway & Gibbons, P.A. is pleased to announce that Sarah M. Hammett has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's Tampa office.

Ms. Hammett is a member of the litigation group.  Ms. Hammett has successfully prosecuted and defended complex business claims, including trial and mediation experience, focusing on commercial litigation, real estate litigation, trademark and copyright litigation, unfair competition and non-compete law, and corporate transactions.  Ms. Hammett received both her law degree and her Master of Business Administration from Stetson University in 2007.  She obtained Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management degrees from Purdue University, where she graduated early, with honors.  During law school, Ms. Hammett received a book award for the highest grade in her Law and Economics Seminar, and actively participated in ATLA Trial Competitions.  Ms. Hammett has gained experience interning with the Attorney General's Office and the Federal Public Defender's Office in addition to clerking at several private law firms.  Ms. Hammett was a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Leadership Institute class of 2009-2010 and remains active with the Hillsborough County Bar Association.  Sarah Hammett can be reached at 813.314.4527 or via email at shammett@saxongilmore.com.

Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway & Gibbons, P.A. is pleased to announce that Richard N. Asfar and Tabitha S. Fish have joined the firm as associates in the firm's Tampa office.


Mr. Asfar is a member of the litigation group and concentrates his practice on business litigation, construction litigation, appeals, and music and intellectual property. His music and intellectual property experience includes assisting independent record labels in obtaining digital distribution for their music and representing clients in World Intellectual Property Organization domain name disputes. Mr. Asfar received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Baruch College of the City University of New York in 2002, and his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2006. Mr. Asfar was admitted to the California Bar in 2006 and the Florida Bar in 2009. She attended Vanderbilt University, before transferring to the University of Alabama, and was a member of the Navy ROTC. Ms. Fish graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law, with honors. Gerald T. Mr. Buhr is a member of the Florida Bar (Environmental and Land Use, and Local Government Sections), writes a monthly legal environmental column for the Florida Water Resources Journal, is an American Water Works Association "Life Member", and Water Environments Federation "Quarter Century Operator.

Gerald Buhr concentrates his practice in the areas of government and utilities law.
