On May 9, 2014, Jozette Chack-On attended the grand opening celebration at Cedar Pointe Apartments. Cedar Pointe is the Tampa Housing Authority’s first Smart Living Community, in partnership with Hillsborough County’s Affordable Housing Department. The affordable housing project has 60 multi-family units, with 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. The community is encouraging personal and family growth by offering nutrition classes, home ownership training, a community garden, and active participation in children’s education by providing a computer in each unit.
