June 23, 2016 – Bernice Saxon and Jozette Chack-On attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for Cornell Colony. The new single family home community, located south of downtown Avon Park, Florida, consists of 44 single family homes. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath homes are energy efficient. Amenities include a clubhouse, computer lab, kitchen facility, and after school programs.
The project was funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development HOME Program, a Heartland National Bank construction loan, and a Florida State Housing Initiative (SHIP) Program loan.
