EXPERIENCE Hans Christian Beyer, a partner at Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, P.A. concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors' rights with an emphasis on fraudulent conveyances as well as international and domestic asset recovery. Mr. Beyer is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics, with high honors. He earned his J. D. degree in 1991 from the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Beyer has practiced throughout Florida, specializing in the representation of financial institutions and creditors groups, often in complex matters involving overseas jurisdictions. Mr. Beyer's clients include domestic and foreign financial institutions and creditor groups which he has represented in negotiations, transactional matters, out-of-court workouts, and litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Beyer is active in professional and civic groups, serving on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar's Business Law Section since 1998 and currently as Chair of its Bankruptcy/UCC Committee. He is a frequent speaker on topics pertaining to fraudulent transfer litigation, anti-money laundering initiatives and the proper structuring of international transactions, and is a regular lecturer at the University of Florida Law School. Mr. Beyer has presented papers at the World Tax Conferences in Dublin, Ireland and Barcelona, Spain; has authored numerous articles and chapters for a variety of publishers including the ABA and the ABI; and has lectured in foreign jurisdictions, such as Ireland, Germany and Canada.
