EXPERIENCE Hugh H. Marthinsen, a partner at Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, P.A., focuses his practice on a broad range of land use, zoning, real estate, administrative and environmental law. Mr. Marthinsen was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000. He is also a member of the Arizona Bar, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and in 1995, he was admitted to the U.S. District Court for Arizona. He received his B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary in 1986 and his J.D. degree cum laude and M.S.L. degree in Environmental Law, summa cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 1994. Mr. Marthinsen was also a Dean's Fellow at Vermont Law School from 1993-1994. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Marthinsen was Legislative Assistant (1987-1989) and Legislative Director (1989-1991) to Congressman John G. Rowland (R-CT) and Law Clerk to Hon. Susan A. Ehrlich, Arizona Court of Appeals (1994-1996). Mr. Marthinsen is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the Arizona Bar, as well as a member of the American Bar Association's Section on Environment, Energy and Resources.
