EXPERIENCE John B. Gibbons, senior partner and co-founder of Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, P.A., is a native of Tampa who specializes in the areas of commercial real estate, corporate and business transactions, probate, and estate planning. He received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida, with high honors, in 1977. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and of the Order of the Coif. After law school, Mr. Gibbons served as a research aide to the Supreme Court of Florida and as a staff attorney to the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. Mr. Gibbons has represented developers of master planned communities, and condominium and fractional ownership projects in all aspects of the development process. He is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a former member of the Board of Governors, Young Lawyers Section, of the Florida Bar and is currently a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section. During his more than 25 years of practice, Mr. Gibbons has developed extensive experience in appellate practice and has litigated numerous civil and business matters in state and federal courts.
