EXPERIENCE

Joyce Nader is a partner at Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, P.A.. Ms. Nader's areas of practice include land use, zoning, environmental, and administrative law. Ms. Nader received her B.A. and M.A. degrees, with honors,  from the University of South Florida, and her J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1985. She is a Dana Scholar and recipient  of Law I, Law II and Law III Full Tuition Scholarships; as well as the International Trial Lawyers Association Award for Best Advocate, 1985.  At the invitation of the Florida Supreme Court, she spoke to the 2d DCA on "What's Good about Lawyers", 1985.  Her accomplishments as an author and lecturer include "Florida's Good Samaritan Program," Petrogram, Apr. 1994; "State Reimbursement Programs:  What's Available," University of Florida TREEO Center, May, 1994; "Legislation Status - Cattle Dip Vats," July, 1995; "Legal Issues of the New UST Law," 3rd Annual Florida Environmental Expo, September, 1995; USF Environmental Law Seminar, 1996.  She also co-authored the Seminar Paper, "Florida Brownfields," 1998.  She is a certified Civil Mediator and serves as Adjunct Professor at Stetson College of Law and the University of South Florida.  Ms. Nader has worked extensively with clients on developments of regional impact, zoning and related work, comprehensive planning and vested rights, and in all aspects of phosphate cleanup, administrative enforcement and penalty assessment; eligibility for state reimbursement programs; and due diligence for the purchase and sale of contaminated sites.  Ms. Nader has been certified by the Florida Supreme Court and Middle District of Florida, United States District Court, as a Circuit Civil Mediator.  Ms. Nader is AV rated in the Martindale-Hubbell law directory.
