Mr. Tong brings over four decades of legal experience, with a practice focused on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, complex commercial litigation, real estate disputes, and first-party property insurance litigation. He is also a recognized expert witness, having testified more than 90 times on the reasonableness of attorneys’ fees and costs.
He regularly represents lenders, governmental agencies, and other creditors in high-stakes litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and real estate matters. His extensive litigation background includes cases involving commercial real estate, receiverships, and loan restructurings, and he has managed thousands of foreclosure actions across Florida. Mr. Tong also handles both prosecution and defense of title insurance claims.
In the insurance sector, Mr. Tong has deep experience representing carriers in a wide range of legal matters, from coverage disputes and policy interpretation to first- and third-party claims.
