Saxon|Gilmore is pleased to announce that Kevin Kenny has joined the firm as a partner. He specializes in corporate and business transactions, contracts, mergers, acquisitions, hospitality law, and real estate law. Throughout his 20 year legal career, Mr. Kenny has represented clients in complex real property transactions, including counseling real estate developers, hotel and resort operators, management companies, investment firms, and financial institutions with acquisition, growth, sales, and exit strategies of multi-phased complex real estate developments, featuring residential, commercial, hotel and resort components, and their related recreational amenities for projects located throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico. He has extensive experience in examining title and negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, license agreements, commercial leases, subleases, easements, homeowner and condominium governing documents, and recreational amenity access and use documents, as well as with equity and non-equity membership plan agreements. Mr. Kenny also has experience as a commercial real estate developer, including, developing historic landmark buildings and commercial office buildings. He has managed all aspects of commercial development, including property acquisition, financing, permitting, design, construction, leasing, and asset disposition. His business experience has aided Mr. Kenny in representing both large and small businesses throughout a wide range of industries including telecommunications, technology, agriculture, hospitality, real estate, retail, and professional services. Mr. Kenny routinely assists clients with strategic acquisitions, debt and equity financing transactions, and general corporate matters, and has experience with negotiating and drafting corporate formation documents, contribution agreements, shareholder agreements, private placement memoranda, employment agreements, bills of sale, asset purchase agreements, management agreements, license agreements, non-competition agreements, guarantees, promissory notes, and other related financing documents.
Mr. Kenny received his B.S. degree from Florida State University in 1994 and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of law in 1998. At Stetson, he was nominated for the National Dean’s List and received the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellency in Trial Advocacy.
