Ricardo Gilmore Receives the 2019 Outstanding Individual Award

Saxon|Gilmore is pleased to announce that Ricardo Gilmore, senior partner and co-founder of Saxon|Gilmore, has received the 2019 Outstanding Individual Award at the Florida Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (FAHRO) convention.

The 2019 Outstanding Individual award is in recognition of his “exceptional practice and quality of service”.

Mr. Gilmore has practiced law for more than 30 years and specializes in the areas of business and corporate law, real estate, public finance, and commercial litigation. He serves as special counsel to housing authorities in Florida and other states on affordable housing development matters, involving a multiplicity of legal issues unique to housing authorities as well as applicable to governmental agencies and corporate entities. He has developed a specialty in public housing law and has been involved in two extensive litigation matters appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court that established nationwide precedents. Mr. Gilmore has also been involved in the establishment and operation of instrumentalities and affiliates associated with development and fundraising for housing authorities.

He is a frequent speaker at conferences concerning public and affordable housing issues, including conferences sponsored by the Housing Development and Law Institute (HDLI), the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), the National Organization of African-Americans in Housing (NOAAH), the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA), and FAHRO.
