2016-Saxon|Gilmore is pleased to announce that the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County, Florida has received the Multifamily Excellence award from the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies (“NALHFA”) for Pinellas Heights Senior Apartments (“Pinellas Heights”).
The 153-unit apartment complex for seniors opened in 2014. It includes one and two bedroom apartments. The affordable living community has a library, a fitness center, a laundry center, and a TV lounge on every floor, as well as a shuffleboard court and other amenities.
Pinellas Heights was designed by Bessolo Design Group, Inc. and constructed by Brooks & Freund. The complex was built to be hurricane resistant and meet Florida Water Star requirements. The construction was made possible by financing from a number of sources including the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County, Florida, JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., Pinellas County, the Pinellas County Housing Authority, RBC Tax Credit Equity, LLC, and PNC Bank National Association. The developer was Norstar Development USA, LP.
