On May 9, 2014, Bernice Saxon and Ricardo Gilmore attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Pinellas Heights, a project of the Pinellas County Housing Authority. The 153-unit apartment complex for seniors includes one and two bedroom apartments. The affordable living community has a library with internet access, a fitness center, a laundry center, and a TV lounge on every floor, as well as a shuffleboard court and more.

The construction was made possible by financing from a number of sources including the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Home Loan Bank of America, the City of Largo, RBC Capital Markets, JP Morgan Chase, Pinellas County Community Development, the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County, Florida Housing Finance Corporation, and the Pinellas County Housing Authority. The developer was Norstar Development USA, LP.

Guest speakers at the ribbon cutting ceremony included Joseph Triolo, Chairman of the Board of the Pinellas County Housing Authority; Ed Jennings, Jr., HUD, Region IV Administrator; Senator Jack Latvala; Mayor Patricia Gerard, City of Largo; Commissioner Brian Katz, Florida Housing Finance Corporation; and many more notable representatives.

Saxon Gilmore serves as general counsel to the Pinellas County Housing Authority and numerous other housing authorities throughout Florida, and also acts in a consulting capacity on special projects to housing authorities throughout the country.
