On May 29, 2014, Bernice Saxon and Jozette Chack-On attended the ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for Venetian Walk.
Venetian Walk is phase one of a two-phase apartment complex, developed by the Venice Housing Authority in conjunction with its development partner, Norstar Development USA, LP. Saxon Gilmore served as counsel to the Housing Authority for the project. The Italian design and Spanish tile roof of the 61 unit senior complex blend well with the City of Venice concept. The one and two bedroom apartments are equipped with emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, lanais with private storage, ceramic tile, and wood plank flooring. The community hosts a variety of amenities including a community room/dining room, laundry centers, fitness room, media room, a library/business center, and more.

Members of the American Legion Post 159 performed the Flag Presentation and Dedication.
