October 31, 2016 – Saxon|Gilmore employees participated in Fall Food Challenge 2016. Employees donated food such as soup, cereal, granola bars, tuna, and macaroni and cheese for “End 68 Hours of Hunger”. Organizations across Tampa Bay came together to collect food for underprivileged children.

There are over 100,000 children in the Hillsborough County School District who are eligible to participate in the free/reduced cost lunch program. The lunch program helps the children during the week, but they may have insufficient amounts of food at home for the weekend. To help alleviate this problem, End 68 Hours of Hunger distributes food to school children to carry them through the weekend. Each bag of food provides two breakfasts, two lunches, and three dinners for a child. The cost for each bag is $10. To find out more about this organization, go to http://end68hoursofhunger.org.
